|Position Description:||The University of Missouri System seeks an Executive Director of Benefits and Retirement to provide strategic and collaborative leadership, vision and change management across the UM System focusing on holistic benefit and retirement offerings. This position will identify and develop long-term plans to ensure positive return on investment and financial sustainability, while delivering mission-critical results and an exceptional employee and retiree experience. The Executive Director will manage relationships throughout the system and all campuses, to create a flexible, comprehensive, and effective benefit and retirement program for University employees and retirees. In addition, this role will direct and evaluate the results of the policies and programs including overall philosophy, funding strategies, and goals. As a UM System HR representative, the Executive Director will ensure that employee communications are aligned, support the employee value proposition and meet campus HR and Total Reward program needs. Finally, this position will develop innovative strategies to increase the awareness of the value of overall benefit and retirement offerings and provide collaborative executive leadership, mentoring and oversight of the benefits and retirement teams, supporting an inclusive and dynamic culture of expertise. |
The Executive Director of Benefits and Retirement must possess a Master's degree in a relevant area and 10 years of comparable experience OR a Bachelor's degree in a relevant area and 12 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired. Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) certification and SHRM certified is preferred. The Executive Director of Benefits and Retirement must demonstrate successful leadership and administration on benefits and retirement. A track record of leadership and managing teams to a high degree of professionalism, integrity and service to an organization is expected in this role.
