Mitigating Bias in Hiring — Theory, Research and Practice
This session will explore the power of impressions and their potential influence in the hiring process. Using the equity model as a framework, this session will present research that explores bias in hiring practices. Through case studies, participants will develop knowledge of bias theory and bias types, and gain greater awareness and understanding of potential biases in hiring practices and ways to mitigate them. This is a useful training easily integrated into professional development offerings.
