Department: Office of Human Resources
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred. Title IX related training or certification through a nationally recognized organization and PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
Experience: Seven years of progressively responsible experience in employee relations with demonstrated experience in investigations and HR programs. A minimum of two of the seven years must be in higher education.
Duties: Provides a full range of employee relations services to the University, including consultation and support to management and employees related to performance management, attendance, conflict management, workplace guidelines and employee issues. Analyzes and interprets University policies and procedures, reviews applicable employment and labor laws, and provides objective problem-solving and decision-making assistance. Coordinates and conducts investigations involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, or misconduct, including Title VII, Title IX and ADA. The Director provides leadership that includes strong partnership with other areas of the university. Work is performed with independent judgment under the limited supervision and performance evaluation is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system and in accordance with the University Policies & Procedures.
